Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
NxtLvl Player (“the App”) is developed by 9497-3658 Quebec Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles when you use it on Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone.
What the App does
NxtLvl Player is a media player. You connect playlists and shared folders that you already have. The App does not host video files or provide channels on its own. Some features may require a paid subscription purchased through Apple; see “Subscriptions and purchases” below.
Information stored on your device
To work, the App saves data locally on your Apple device, such as:
• Playlist names, URLs, and login details you enter for Xtream, M3U, or SMB sources
• Player settings (aspect ratio, subtitles, audio, buffer size, and playback engine)
• Live TV favourites, category preferences, and electronic program guide (EPG) cache
• Movies and TV show browse data, posters, and watch progress
• Search history within the App
This information stays under your control. The App needs it to play your content and remember your preferences.
iCloud sync
When you are signed into iCloud with CloudKit enabled, playlists and settings can sync automatically across your Apple devices using the same Apple ID. Sync uses Apple’s iCloud service and your own iCloud storage allowance. If your iCloud storage is full, or iCloud is unavailable or restricted on your device, sync stops and the App keeps working with the data stored locally. We do not operate a separate account system for normal App use.
Information sent when you contact support
If you choose Send Bug Report in Settings → Support, the App may send:
• The message you write
• App version, device model, and operating system version
• A stable anonymous device identifier stored in your Keychain (not your Apple ID)
• Optional diagnostic logs you agree to include
These reports are delivered through Supabase to help us investigate problems. Submitting a report also creates an anonymous Supabase session identifier. Neither identifier is linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID.
What the diagnostic logs contain
Logs are optional and you can send a report without them. When you include them, they may contain the server addresses you connected to, the channel or title names you opened, your playback settings, and error messages, so they can reveal what you were trying to watch. Before anything is written to the log, the App automatically removes passwords, tokens, API keys, credentials embedded in addresses, and the username and password segments of Xtream-style links. Only the most recent portion of the log is sent. Do not include passwords, playlist credentials, or personal content in the message you write.
Subscriptions and purchases
Some features may require a paid subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. The App checks your purchase receipt with Apple to confirm which features you are entitled to, and we do not receive a list of your other purchases.
Third-party services
The App may contact other services to improve your experience:
• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — sync playlists and settings across your devices
• The Movie Database (TMDB) — posters, ratings, certifications, and Top Chart suggestions matched to titles in your playlist
• OpenSubtitles — when you search for subtitles, the title, season, episode, and language you are looking for are sent to OpenSubtitles, which reveals what you are watching. Subtitle search is optional.
• YouTube — opening a trailer hands off to the YouTube app or your browser, where YouTube’s own privacy policy applies
• Supabase — receive anonymous bug reports when you submit feedback
• Your playlist and SMB providers — fetch live TV, movies, series, and EPG data you request
• VLCKit and Apple AVFoundation — decode and play streams
Each third party has its own privacy practices. TMDB requests are limited to public metadata needed to display artwork and ratings.
How your information is protected
• Playlist credentials and the diagnostic identifier are held in the device Keychain or in app storage protected by the operating system
• Requests to TMDB, OpenSubtitles, and Supabase use encrypted HTTPS connections
• Credentials are stripped from diagnostic logs automatically before anything is written to disk
• We do not keep a copy of your playlist catalog on our servers
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Connections to your own playlist or SMB servers use whatever protocol those servers support, which may not be encrypted.
How long information is kept
Data stored on your device remains until you remove the playlist or delete the App. Data synced through iCloud remains in your iCloud account until you remove it or turn off sync. Bug reports are kept only as long as needed to investigate the issue and are deleted once they are no longer required.
Where information is processed
Apple, Supabase, TMDB, and OpenSubtitles operate their own servers, which may be located outside the country where you live. Sending a bug report or requesting metadata means that information is transferred to those providers and handled under their own privacy practices.
What we do not do
• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not use the App to track what you watch for advertising
• We do not upload your full playlist catalog to our servers during normal use
• We do not include advertising or analytics tracking software in the App
Your choices
• You can remove playlists and clear cached data by deleting the App or removing playlists in Settings
• You can disable iCloud sync for the App in your device iCloud settings
• You can choose not to send bug reports, or send them without diagnostic logs
• You can use the App without searching for subtitles, which avoids sending anything to OpenSubtitles
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Bug reports are the only information we receive, and they are identified only by an anonymous device identifier, so please include the approximate date and content of the report when you contact us and we will do our best to locate it.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
